“We are liaising with the local emergency operation centres and are closely monitoring the situation,” says MCDEM National Controller Mike O’Leary. “We are ready to provide assistance to support the local response as required.”

Director of Civil Defence and Emergency Management, John Norton, will join the Minister of Civil Defence George Hawkins who is visiting the region tomorrow morning to inspect the damage and talk to those affected.
