What is the Auckland Region Emergency Management Office (AREMO)?

The Auckland Region Emergency Management Office was established in April 2008 following an assessment of the ‘Capacity and Capability’ of the Auckland Region Civil Defence Emergency Management Group to respond to a disaster impacting the Auckland Region, therefore enhancing the regional capability for planning and operations support.
